Soprano Laura del Río is a great talent in the world of opera. Her career has been marked by numerous accolades and achievements, demonstrating her vocal abilities and artistic versatility.

Recently, Laura made her debut in two operas, 'Cavalleria Rusticana' and its sequel 'Dodici anni dopo' flawlessly portraying Lola at the prestigious Teatro Chiabrera of Savona and the Teatro Goldoni of Livorno. Moreover, Laura del Río captivated audiences with her talent as an actress and singer in the Teatro Goldoni´s film-opera production of 'Dodici anni dopo in the same role.

In the past seasons, she made her debut as Violetta in Verdi's 'La Traviata' at the esteemed Palau de la Música in Barcelona. This outstanding performance was followed by other leading roles, including Donna Elvira in Mozart's 'Don Giovanni' and Musetta in Puccini's 'La Bohème' at the renowned Teatro Campoamor.
She has also showcased her versatility in a wide range of other roles, such as Cio-Cio-San in Puccini's 'Madama Butterfly,' Lauretta in Puccini's 'Gianni Schicchi,' Susanna in Mozart's 'Le Nozze di Figaro,'  Rowan in Brittan's  ‘The little sweep’ at the Auditorio of Tenerife and many more. Laura del Río has an ability to embody diverse characters and deliver captivating performances.

Throughout her career, Laura del Río has been the recipient of numerous prizes in renowned competitions, including the 'Tenor Viñas' International Competition, the International Singing Competition 'Ópera de Tenerife,' the New Voices Competition 'Ciudad de Sevilla,' the International Singing Competition 'Ciudad de Logroño,' and many others. These accolades highlight her talent and recognition within the opera industry.

Laura del Río first demonstrated her talent at the 'Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu' in Barcelona, where she received the prestigious 'Extraordinary Finalist Award.' Recognizing her potential, she was granted a scholarship to pursue a Master's Degree in Opera Performance after winning the International Competition Tenor Viñas. This scholarship further enhanced her skills and refined her artistry.
 

Laura has talents that extend beyond the operatic stage. She has impressed audiences with her acting abilities in various shows, serving as both a singer and presenter. Notably, she performed in the captivating 'La música es imprescindible' gala alongside different philharmonic orchestras at the esteemed Teatro Real and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

In addition to her opera performances, Laura has showcased her talent in various concert settings. She has presented opera galas and performed Spanish Songs and Lied concerts in Monaco, Italy, Germany, and Spain.

Her engaging stage presence and powerful vocals have captivated audiences in diverse musical settings.


Collaborating with renowned musicians, Laura has worked with prominent figures such as Caroline Dowdle in Berlin and received a grant from Life Victoria to collaborate with Iain Burnside. She has also had the privilege of working closely with esteemed pianists, including Rubén Fernández Aguirre and Celsa Tamayo.


Laura del Río's dedication to her craft extends to the performance of contemporary works and premieres. She has premiered roles such as Adina in ‘Mans a l’òpera’ and Lola in 'Dodici anni dopo' at esteemed venues like Gran Teatre del Liceu and Teatro Goldoni.


With her captivating performances and extensive repertoire, Laura del Río continues to leave a lasting impression on audiences, showcasing her virtuosity and deep understanding of the operatic art form.
